Sundubu Jjigae
순두부 찌개 – Sundubu Jjigae (Spicy Soft Tofu Stew)
Restaurants here in South Korea offer two varieties of this Korean dish – one cooked with meat (beef or pork) and the other one with seafood (clams, mussels and oyster). The main ingredient though is neither the meat nor the seafood but soft tofu making many say that this is a healthy food. Other ingredients include enoki mushrooms and other types of mushrooms, chili paste, chili powder and stalk spring onion.
The addition of either meat or seafood is optional. An egg could be added if so desired.
For the health-conscious and for the ones looking for non-meat option, I would highly recommend this Korean dish. The one mixed with seafood of course.
