NAEJANGTANG

내장탕 – Naejangtang (Beef Tripe and Intestine Soup)

Some people don’t eat organ meats (offal). I do. The entrails and internal organs of butchered animals are just as good as the muscle meat.  Some of the literature I read about organ meat attest that they are also a good source of nutrients such as vitamin B12 and folate.

So, for foreigners who do not consider eating organ meats as disconcerting, I strongly recommend 내장탕 (naejangtang)

내장탕 (naejangtang) is a Korean dish made using the entrails and internal organs of animals. The one (in the video) that  I tried had beef entrails (tripe and intestine). There were some vegetables (scallions, perilla leaves, etc.) mixed as well.  When ordering this Korea dish,  you may decide whether you want it hot and spicy or not.
