짬뽕 – Jjamppong

Whenever I want my noodles spicy, I go for jjamppong.  The spicier it is, the better for me.

Jjamppong is a spicy noodle soup dish. It can be served  either with seafood or pork. That’s what my friends told me. However, I have yet to try jjamppong with meat instead of seafood. So I can not tell which one is better – jjampong with seafood of that one with meat.

Jjamppong is one of the few Korean dishes which, according to my friends, were actually developed by Chinese immigrants long time ago. It evolved to adopt to Korean taste.

As you could see in the video, the ingredients include squid, mushrooms, cabbage,  and onions. The ones I tried in other restaurants included garlic, zucchini,carrots and mussels.
