The Lonely Boat

boat

“What am I without you?”
The boat says to the sea.
“Bring back the tide,
make me alive.
I beseech thee.”

Bring back the tide
Let me ride your waves
Toss me to and fro
Throw me up high
Then splash me down hard into your waiting arms.

Bring back the tide,
Pull me out of the dock!
I’d rather face the peril
of being whipped
by the mighty waves of your love
Than left alone moored in the lonely sands of memory.

    • Thanks a lot.

Collaboration? Why not! Let’s see in the future. I just need to finish certain commitments that made my plate full for a couple of months.

Of course I am happy. With people advocating what both of us are trying to advocate – positive thinking (or however we call it) – we’re suppose to define our own happiness and allow nothing to demolish our inner peace. There are just times that when our feelings get pricked by something we see (or hear), we express the emotions through prose or poetry. But as soon as we finish the piece and take off our heads the prosist’s or the poet’s hat then we can go back to our normal selves.
